Have you ever been in love? Horrible, isn’t it? It makes you feel so vulnerable. Being in love opens your chest up, along with your heart. This let’s someone come in and mess you up after you spent so long building this armor so no one could hurt you. But, this one stupid person comes along; no different from any other stupid person, wanders on into your life. You give them an important piece of you, your heart - even when they didn’t ask for it. So then, this stupid person, one day, does something extremely stupid - they kiss you. Your life now doesn’t only belong to you. Love takes hostage. It crawls into your soul. Makes you so easy to break, that a simple phrase like “maybe we should just be friends” turns into a butcher knife working it’s way across your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination, not in the mind, but in the soul of your heart. A real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart kind of pain.
